On Thursday, the Los Angeles Lakers team announced that Ingram is set to work out with them.Ben Simmons and Brandon Ingram are the top two selections.Ingram will go to Los Angeles Lakers as the NO.2 overall pick.As the team enters post Kobe Bryant era, it has probably never been more in need of a fast talent fix.
It’s unlikely Ingram will ever be as athletic and explosive as Kevin Durant. His footwork and timing can also be elite-level skills, like Carmelo Anthony’s, and Ingram will undoubtedly be used at both forward positions on each end of the court. Meanwhile, his ability to shoot suggests he can play a role like Kawhi Leonard did as a rookie.
“It doesn’t matter at all,” Ingram said. “I want to go to the organization that wants me, and I want to develop in this league the best way that I can.”Anyone who wants to be in the conversation of best player in the league isn’t easy.Ingram need to do what he can do to improve himself. His career in NBA has just begun.
